Sinus bradycardia
An ECG at Age 64
ECG from a 64-year-old woman. Symptoms and the reason for recording are not supplied.
Look for
- Sinus P waves preceding the QRS complexes.
- Adult heart rate below 60/min.
Where to look. In lead II, find P before each QRS; measure R–R intervals using the paper speed.
The rhythm is sinus but slow. Rate alone cannot establish its cause or whether it explains symptoms.
The source rate is 49/min; fatigue or other symptoms are not documented.
