ECG features of left ventricular hypertrophy
A Tracing Worth a Closer Look
Age, sex, symptoms, and the reason for recording are not supplied.
Look for
- High precordial QRS voltages.
- Cornell and Sokolow–Lyon criteria reported by the source.
Where to look. Compare S in V1, R in V5–V6, and R in aVL; check gain before measuring.
Increased left ventricular mass can raise voltages. ECG criteria suggest LVH but do not alone prove anatomical enlargement.
The question does not require expanding the source’s ambiguous “LAH” abbreviation or dating Q waves.
