Sinus pause
MSP221 recording · 06
The source describes a 44-year-old woman admitted with mildly symptomatic COVID-19 pneumonia; the pauses were asymptomatic.
Original waveform retained; quiz cropping only removes off-tracing interpretation or a row containing an answer label. Some sources are rhythm strips rather than a full 12-lead ECG.
Look for
- Absent P waves during pauses.
- Activity resumes after the pauses.
Where to look. Follow lead II during the pauses: no P or QRS at the expected time, then resumption.
A pause without P waves suggests impaired sinus activity or exit. Exclude a hidden blocked premature P wave before concluding.
The source diagnosis is retained; no additional clinical cause is inferred.
