Anterior acute ischemic pattern with ST elevation
Chest Pain at Age 72
A 72-year-old man presents with chest pain. This is his initial ECG.
Panel A extracted from the serial figure: one complex per lead. Source resolution is limited; precise measurements must not be required.
Look for
- ST elevation in an anterior distribution.
- Changes to compare across contiguous leads.
Where to look. Compare V1–V4, then opposing leads; use the TP segment as the baseline when visible.
The ST-elevation distribution suggests acute anterior ischemia. Interpret the ECG alongside the history, serial tracings, and other investigations.
The article confirms LAD occlusion. The question uses only panel A, before subsequent changes.

Original annotations & limitations
